Spiritual care

To provide spiritual and moral values to all the Zionians, the school has a lot of facilities and programmes. The Grotto of Mother Mary at the entrance receives each and everyone to Zion. Universal prayer court by the side of the front office helps each and every person to begin his or her day with a wholehearted submission before God. To mould value oriented personalities, it has spiritual renewal programmes like monthly spiritual conferences, personality development programmes, counselling etc. Besides the morning prayer each period is started with a prayer. The spiritual power emerges from Zion blesses all the Zionians and rejuvenates the whole area and its people.

Intellectual Care

To boost up intellectual information, Zion has all the facilities in its multi-storeyed buildings, spacious and airy classrooms, audio-visual aided digital teaching methods, well stocked library with separate reference section, digital classrooms, computer labs, Biology lab, Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Maths lab etc. Competitive examinations such as Satyadeepam, Gurusishya, Sugama Hindi Scholarship examinations etc widen the intellectual field. To impart the spirirt of the mottos, Zion has a group of dedicated teachers providing a friendly educational environment to each pupil. Scholastic and co-scholastic areas are effectively guided and strictly evaluated by the teachers.

Psycho-Cultural Care

Zion School not only aims at the intellectual growth but also promotes proper mental and cultural development. For the proper mental growth and health, morning assemblies, physical excercises etc are conducted . Counselling, personality development classes, inter school drawing and painting competition, leadership classes etc., are organized carefully for the overall development of the children. For the cultural growth, Literary Association is organized on every Friday’s last period. It really brings out the talents of our children. To exhibit the talents of students, there are cultural competitions, co-curricular activities and different celebrations such as Onam, Christmas, Principal’s day, Manager’s day, Teachers’ day etc. Various club activities and the preparation of class magazines also help in the growth of the talents of students.

Corporal care

There is a sound mind in a sound body. Physical and health education is also very important in school life. Zion provides this physical or corporal care. Under the guidance of the Physical education teacher, proper training is imparted to the students. After school time students are allowed to play games according to their interest in the school ground, under the supervision of incharge teachers. For this, Zion has very large playgrounds, basketball court, volley ball court and the like. To play indoor games such as carom, chess etc the school uses the open-auditorium of zion organisation. Zion has 70 x40mts swimming pool for swimming practice and this is one of the biggest swimming pools of Idukki district.
Different Martial arts, House- wise competitions, Marathon etc add up to these specialities of Zion. Zion school participates in Inter-School Sahodaya Sports Meet, Inter-school Basketball Championship and the like. Through this corporal care very disciplined and courageous citizens are being moulded at Zion.
